Low-voltage switching and low-current thermal reed relays

Signals from devices such as thermocouples and pressure sensors can generate microvolt or millivolt-level voltages. These low-level signals may be lost when passing through most switch devices before amplification. MiRelay’s low thermal reed relay products are an ideal choice for switching these weak signals because we design them with extra care to avoid adding unnecessary voltage deviations beyond +/-1 microvolt. In addition, the electrostatic shielding in the relay can improve signal-to-noise ratio, and high insulation may require high dielectric strength. Our BT series provides a minimum dielectric strength of up to 2000V for your selection.

Systems that switch picoampere (pA) or femtoampere (fA) level currents also require special high insulation, which can only be met by reed relays. Insulation levels may require 1014Ω or 1015Ω. Our HVFR series has several switching options that can meet these switching requirements.
